Chinese Medicine Wheel For Health

There are many tools that I use to assist clients. One that you can use yourself is the Chinese Medicine Wheel. This can provide some insight or information when you are trying to solve a health puzzle for yourself.
I was first introduced to the Chinese Medicine Wheel when I took a Touch for Health muscle testing classes many years ago. The Chinese Medicine Wheel is used by acupuncturists and Chinese medicine practitioners, but it can be used by anyone to learn about the body. You may find it especially useful for odd pains or annoyances where your body is trying to get your attention.

The Chinese Medicine Wheel is a 24-hour clock with organs listed around the circle. Some clocks also list emotions. Many times, clients will come visit and we may refer to the clock if they are having an issue repeatedly at a specific time of day. One lady recently had an issue where she was waking up at 4am every morning. The organ listed for 4am was lung. Although she was not having any specific lung issues, she had some herbs for lungs and chose to take those to support her lungs in whatever the challenge was, and her issue went away.

Many times, I see clients that go to bed very late, or maybe they have odd sleeping patterns because of travel, stress, or work. It can be beneficial to look at the clock at the times they are feeling a particular issue to know where they should focus their efforts. One of my clients works at the post office and she is up very early, 3:30am, to get to work. Her eating and sleep patterns are all wonky because of this and she was lethargic and exhausted. She was having various health issues she was struggling with as well, but quitting her job was not an option. Looking at the chart we can see what organs are affected during those times and so now she can focus on supporting specific organs nutritionally for her body during those times for better health. This has helped her to eat better, sleep better and feel better overall.

The Chinese Medicine Wheel is not meant to diagnose anything, or even treat anything. It is only meant to provide a data point that you can put with other information you have to give you insight. It is another way for your body to communicate with you if you choose to listen.
