About Me — Kasara D’Elene

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have lived all up and down the West Coast. Using natural options to recover from breast cancer and several other illnesses when I was younger, my goal is to educate others on natural options and empower them to make the best choices for themselves. I am a mom to an amazing son, and have been a mom to many rescue animals include dogs, cats, a bunny, parakeets, and hens in the Seattle, Washington area. I have owned health food stores in Sunnyvale, California and Bothell/Mill Creek, Washington, teaching thousands of people about natural health options. My education is listed on my website here,

In between health food stores, I also worked on/off in the Hi-Tech industry for many years affording me the opportunity to travel around the world, meet amazing people and visit wonderful places.

Down the street from my house there are lots of blackberry bushes. Many times I have picked blackberries to make pies, cobblers or just to have for snacks. They are so yummy sweet, plump and something we all look forward in the summer. Unfortunately if you pick them too early, they are tart, and if you wait too long the rain turns them into mush and it becomes challenging to get to the good ones.

One day I walked my dogs by the bushes and standing on the side of the road with my dogs I could see plump berries waiting to be picked. I could see them clearly, thinking about how sweet they will taste. Unfortunately the minute that I looked down, there was ditch on the side of the road filled with more blackberry vines. If I wanted to get those berries, I would get poked by the vines, would get my feet wet in the ditch and the dogs leashes would get tangled up, it just wasn’t worth it at the time.

I have realized that the blackberries are a metaphor for success. Often times we can see the fruit, how enticing it is, how wonderful it will be when we get it, but we are unwilling to get poked and wet in the trenches to get the fruit.

That does not mean we don’t deserve it, it doesn’t mean we can’t have it, and it doesn’t mean that it is impossible to get it. It just means that we have to be prepared and do a little work to get it. If I would have had my boots, maybe a stepping stool, in other words the right tools, I would have been able to gather the blackberries. The right tools and timing make achieving success much easier.

Like others, I have been in the trenches of illness, and hopelessness. Through it all I have gathered an immense amount of useful proven tools to help myself and other achieve the many challenges we have overcome.

My goal now is to give back, to share knowledge and experiences with the world. To empower others to reach the fruit they so desire and deserve.
